CaulfieldĀ House

Informality was the driver of this design. The feature of the site was a large elm tree, incorporated into the design by utilising a soaring glass box entry, which is enveloped by the tree. A skewed circulation hub connects all areas. Calm living areas overlooking courtyards progress into a lively rear family living space leading out to the garden. A subtle stair at the rear, rather than the more common entry showpiece reinforces the informality.
